Sign up for CU Volunteer Days at Children's National Hospital
Credit Union Miracle Day and Children’s National are partnering on a monthly volunteer day program at the Capital Area Credit Unions Waiting Room in the Children's National Hospital Emergency Department.
One Monday per month is being designated for a credit union to volunteer to man the Comfort Carts in the Capital Area Credit Unions Waiting Room. The Comfort Carts provide water, activities, fidget toys and stuffies for the patients and their families as they wait to be seen by a provider.
Your credit union can bring four (4) volunteers to man the Comfort Cart in the outpatient clinic waiting rooms.
How To Volunteer
1. Choose your Monday from the list on our registration page and sign up your volunteers!
2. Help us fill the Comfort Cart by purchasing needed items from our Amazon Wish List. These items are used to keep the cart stocked with activities, comfort items, and essentials for patients and families waiting for care. Select the items you'd like to donate, and they will be delivered directly.
3. Show up and help bring some comfort to children and their families during some of their most stressful moments.
