COVID-19 and CU Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run Update

Out of concern for the health and safety of volunteers and runners, the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run. Runners and volunteers received an email from Phil Stewart, Event Director early Saturday morning.

While we are all disappointed that the race will not be held this year, please keep in mind that together we are still making a significant impact in our communities and in the lives of children treated at Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals. With the generous support of credit unions and our business partners, particularly our co-lead sponsors CO-OP Financial Services, PSCU and CUNA Mutual Group, we have raised $400,000 for CMN Hospitals. This support will directly benefit the CMN Hospitals in your communities by helping fund research, treatment and medical equipment. Your partnership also helps demonstrate how the unique, collaborative spirit of the credit union movement makes a difference in communities.

We look forward to working with you again in 2021 on the Cherry Blossom Credit Union Ten Mile Run which will mark our 20th year of title sponsorship.  If you have any questions, please reach out to me at

We appreciate your commitment and value your partnership.

With sincere appreciation,

Leigh Philibosian
