Friday‚ April 9 — Children’s National Medical Center (10:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.)
Kids Craft Hour‚ Press Conference and Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon. Miss America Caressa Cameron and Horace Holmes of ABC7/WJLA TV fame will be on hand. Valet parking is available.
Saturday‚ April 10 — Runners’ Expo at the impressive National Building Museum (9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.)
Children’s Miracle Network and credit union supporters will have a booth with a raffle to raise money for CMN. Running legends Joan Benoit Samuelson and Bill Rodgers will be signing autographs.
Race Day‚ April 11 — 15th & Jefferson Drive‚ NW near the Washington Monument
- Metro opens at 5:00 a.m.
- Women Elite runners start at 7:30 a.m.
- All 10 mile runners start at 7:40 a.m.
- Kids Fun Run starts at 8:15 a.m. on path around Washington Monument
- 5K run-walk starts 8:40 a.m. at Independence Avenue heading toward Memorial Bridge
- 38th Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run Awards program at 10:30 a.m. at center Stage

In the fashion of the cherry blossom blooms‚ CUMD founder Bill Brooks’ son was convinced to wear pink hair till April 30 as a fundraiser by his co-workers at ESE FCU.
