NEW: Year Round Planning Guide for Sponsors
Our Marketing Committee has developed a great new tool to help take the guesswork out of planning and preparing your 2009 race weekend involvement and fundraising activities. Check out our new Sponsor Planning Guide, a handy checklist of what to do and when to do it, to keep your organization on track.

DUE January 15: Guaranteed Race Entry Request
Remember, your sponsorship includes 10 “guaranteed” race entries. These coveted race slots are yours for your members, employees, business partners – anyone you’d like to reward with a ticket to the hottest race in town!

Or, take a page from Northwest FCU’s book and auction your entries off to the highest bidder! To date, NWFCU has received bids totaling close to $1,100 for its entries. Those funds will go directly to Children’s Miracle Network and will count toward NWFCU’s fundraising total!

Choose to receive an electronic code for online runner registration or a printed entry form for return to race officials by mail. Click here to take advantage of this premium sponsor benefit.

And remember, please return unused entry forms/codes to CUMD (mail: P.O. Box 27637, Washington, DC 20038; email: info@miracleday.org) so they can be shared with other sponsors in need.

DUE March 1: Volunteer Sign Up; Runner Registration Deadline
Take note of this very important date in raceland! All runners must be registered by March 1 and all volunteers must be logged into the online tracking database. If you have not yet received your username and password to register volunteers from Michelle Carter, race volunteer coordinator, please shoot her an email at michelle@cherryblossom.org.

Wisconsin Wins!
Wisconsin credit unions and industry partners presented a check for $17,858 to Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. The money was raised as part of the 2008 Credit Union Cherry Blossom Ten Mile Run. Kudos to those involved for arranging the photo op, which made local and national news headlines.

Welcome New Sponsors
We are thrilled to welcome two new sponsors: D.C. Teachers FCU, serving public schools and colleges in the District of Columbia; and Palmetto Cooperative Services, LLC, a credit union service organization of the South Carolina Credit Union League. Thank you for joining our cause and pledging your support!
