SPONSORSHIP RENEWALS Past sponsors should soon receive their 2010 invoices. Kindly remit your sponsorship funds as soon as possible to save on postage costs of duplicate reminders. And to keep you on track through Cherry Blossom Run “season”, be sure to check out our Sponsor Planning Guide, an all-inclusive resource to timelines and checklists to help keep your fundraising, advertising and volunteer efforts on track! RACE ENTRIES This year all of your Guaranteed Race Entry Codes – both those you receive as part of your sponsorship benefits as well as those earned for each volunteer you sent to the 2009 race – will be coordinated by me. You will receive your entry codes late November. The codes can be used to enter the race December 1, 2009 through March 1, 2010. Please note that for general race entry, race officials have instituted a new lottery system to open December 1 and run through December 10. After that date, your Guaranteed Race Entry Codes will be in high demand! NEW! VOLUNTEER & FUNDRAISING TRAINING There will be a free volunteer and fundraising coordinator training program on November 18 in the auditorium of the National Building Museum from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. (401 F Street, NW, Washington, D.C. 20001). Credit Union volunteer team captains as well as those individuals at your organization in charge of fundraising for Children’s Miracle Network are encouraged to contact Michelle Carter to register at michelle@cherryblossom.org. FUNDRAISING We are in the process of beefing up our online giving site to make it even easier to encourage individuals and teams to generate donations. Our annual fundraising cycle began May 1, 2009 and will end on April 30, 2010. Learn from others’ success: visit fundraising ideas on our new URL: www.cucherryblossomrun.org.
