Press Conferences

The annual pre-race press conference at Children's National Medical Center sets the stage for the announcement of our fundraising results. This powerful event allows us to meet some of the children we help and share their experiences. Hospital and credit union dignitaries join patients for a festive craft hour prior to the official check presentation. Among the 2011 participants were representatives from the Credit Union National Association (CUNA) and the National Association for Federal Credit Unions (NAFCU).

Immediately following the press conference participants gathered in the atrium of the hospital for our Sponsor Appreciation Luncheon. Dr. Kurt Newman addressed the impact that exciting new pediatric pain management research is having on the lives of the children. A view of the Washington, D.C. skyline, fellowship with friends and colleagues, and Credit Unions for Kids dolls in goody bags all around the room made it a perfect day!
